    found a pile of lenses

    Hi there

I've found a guy who has a pile of these new (NOS?) lenses and was wondering if anybody can define the year and application/country. Are they for early models? But there's no chrome brim.... The other lenses he's got are white and orange where the side markers are. If interesting, just let me know and I try to get a price.
    Cheers, Mike

I believe the clear lenses are Italian market in origin.

Are the white and orange also without the chrome trim?

Is there a picture of the white/orange ones you could post or send?

    Thanks

Are these SWB lenses without the translucent paint? They look like units still in production.

If I'm not totally wrong, the front lenses of my '67 S and '66 912 have only 2 holes/screws too. I don't think they are unfinished, probably just versions for different countries. Any more guesses?

Exactly - no third screw hole because these look to be front SWB lenses. I still think they are reproductions pulled from the assembly line to be finished based on country. The Italian lenes are mostly clear with a small square of orange. I thought that the original SWB turn signals were only available as a complete unit with housing.
I have restored 2 complete sets using reproduction lenses.
