    Early windshield washer pump question

    Hello,

I’ve got a VDO windshield washer pump, numbers look like 901 628 074 22, fully plastic except the front pump cover.
Does anybody know during which period of time this type was used?

    Thanks!

    Claudius

I recall seeing that pump on 1967 and 1968 cars, but I can't remember what my 1966 or 1972 cars had.

    Hello,
I can confirm Franz's conclusion that the fin type pump is the earlier one.
Since my first post above in 2006 I found a 9/65 with fins, 12/66 and 9/67 without.
One more point to observe: The tube material also changed during the SWB production time period.
