And the recess in the hub confirms it's just a 914 wheel not even a 914-6 like he claims! It's amazing how gullable some ebay buyers are if you put RS in the description and this seller and a few others do it week after week. One regularly lists parts available in most parts catalogs as NOS and gets fools to pay 3-4 times thier regular price. I feel a little smarter every time I see it. I HATE EBAY!!!

    ouch! What a scammer.

re: listing regular everyday items from the dealer as NOS- I saw an auction a couple weeks ago- different seller than the 914RS wheel (but one who also has a 'reputation' for similar cr*p) for a NOS RS ignition key.
The item was the reglular key w/ black plastic handle available at any dealer for $8. I think the auction went for around $50.

Tip: if the seller can't spell concours, then the item is not likely worth the asking price.

    That can't be real ...

Makes me glad I'm not a moron.

Same guy is selling this wheel: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB..._BID_Stores_IT

It appears that the "horn button" is actually a fuchs wheel center. But I am no expert. Cool looking steering wheel - authenticity TBD.

This seller Peter Kater doesn't stretch the truth! He LIES!!!

I hate sellers that blatantly lie about things on Ebay!!! I am tempted to email the top bidder and tell them it is a 914/4 wheel. But like another lister stated, bidders have to learn the hard way. This is a very expensive lesson.

Enough of a rant, I will only leave things up to Carma. May the seller get his.

I guess if you look at the bright side, this means that there is one less guy out there looking for a real one.

That's gotta hurt bigtime when you get that wheel installed and go show it off to your P-car buddies only to have it pointed out that you just got chumped on evilbay. I would imagine you'd leave with the "you guys don't know what you're talking about and you're jealous" attitude only to do some genuine research and discover the truth....
