Replacement door

A quick question, my 70 S is in need of a new door, the rust is severe on the door and I think it would be easier to replace then try and save this one. Unless there is some reason why I should save this one. I know most 911's use the same door, but are they all the same? I found a 80 SC door and another from an 84, and one from a 75. I realize that a targa or cab door won't work, but are any of these viable substitutes?

Any 911 door will work, coupe, targa, or cariolet. Any door made after 1975 is zinc galvinized to help prevent rust and the replacement door will have a crash beam in it. Your original door does not have the crash beam. I think the crash beam is a good thing. Hope this helps.

if you want to keep your interior original, the door pockets were only made from 69-73. the threaded mounts might not be there on newer doors.
look before you buy. otherwise the door should fit just fine.

All of the 70's and most of the 80's doors still have all the nutplates and holes for all of the early door pocket hardware.
