FA: '65-73 Genuine Porsche 911 period orange hood badge $99 NR

Ebay auction starts at $99 No Reserve: auction number 8053591146

(enter this number in the search box at www.ebay.com)

This was removed from a 1970 Porsche 911S that had been garaged all its life, and is believed to be the original hood badge that came with it from the factory. It has the original part number on the back and the true orange coloring in the crest.

It is in excellent condition for its age, but has some nicks and blemishes that gives it that sought after "patina". The paint on the badge is all original and never touched up. I've never seen a vintage badge as nice as this one. A used period gasket in decent shape in included as well.</a>

    Speaking of Hood Badges

Eleven parts, in Switzerland, usually has great, rare stuff. They are selling hood badges, at no doubt a very good price, described this way:

    "Porsche 911 original hood emblem

We have very few 100% original old new 911 hood-emblems. We supply the 2 little mounting pegs. If you have a Concourse 911 or 912 pre 1973 you need the right hood emblem."

On the back is the part # 90165921020 in the upper left corner and MADE IN GERMANY and a circled R in the bottom right. Here's the link to the pictures:

Despite what the site says, they are not correct, right?

Elevenparts in Swiss - not allways a good deal!!

Correct, the hood badge is NOT correct offered at the Elevenparts AG.
I had trouble with the guy several times.
Last time he was selling an item, which I had reserved via mail and personally on the phone with him. He sold it to somebody else without excuse!! No good way of dealing!!
    For me:
    No more business with Elevenparts!!
