    3.8 Hotrod

Just purchased a 3.8 Hotrod. Long story.....

77 Turbo Chassis, 73 RSR wheels, RSR trailing arms, 74 IROC front spoiler, Duck tail, 3.8 RS varioram power plant, gears, Wevo shifter, lightweight interior, center dual outlet muff. Etc......

After 3 days on the road with it I have came to the conclusion that is the only car I need. Words can not describe the driving experience of the 3.8. Imagine a car that has everything you have ever wanted and more.
315 H.P. 2,200 pounds. Torque whenever you need it, stops on a dime, etc...

I was a skeptic. No more.

If anyone is considering it, sell everything you own and do it. The experience is unbelievable.

It will be in Sonoma, hope to see you there.

I will try and post Pictures, if I can figure it out?

I want to give special thanks to Schmidt (jeff smith) who gave me a ride in his 3.8 monster, he put the deal together for the car who belong to his brother in law, without his careful work talking his brother in law out of the car it would have never happened.

There's a moral here. Don't trust your brother in law!
    Cheers,

    Steve

I love his brother in law. Jeff has been kind enough to give me the inside scoop on two of his cars. A great guy who passes cars around as much or more than I do.

Whew! One horsepower for every 6.98 pounds! That must be a rocket.

Congrats on your new purchase. Those are strong words especially considering your 'sable' of cars.

Yea, show us some pics when possible!

    All the best,

    All the best,
I will post pictures early next week.

The car has taken over my life. I have done nothing but drive it for the last three days.
Thank God for the rain, or my wife would have thought for sure there was a blond under the hood.
Seriously, it is above and beyond what I expected. If you get the chance to drive one, take it. But beware it might change you forever.

    Joe,
I am with you. I have a 70 that is an RSR recreation, it has 3.5 L twin plug RSR motor, it is so much more car than any other 911 I have ever owned that there is just no comparison.
Enjoy and stay out of jail,
    Phil

Sounds like a realy cool car, any pictures?

I talked with Jeff Gamroth at length about the car. He compared it to an RSR. He claims they feel almost identical. The beauty of the 3.8 is the longevity and how easy it drives. The car is fairly easy to putt around town in. I hope to putt around 100k miles on it over the next couple of years.
