    Is this a must have.

    Just want to know how anyone feels about the Weltmeister upper strut bar. I might not be calling it by the correct name but it connects the two front shock towers and is supposed to keep them from flexing away from each other.

    I noticed that someone is selling a carbon fiber one on Ebay and Pelican sells the Weltmeister.

    I have one on my 67 but it came with the car so I can't say what it drove like without one. I placed them on my former german cars and thought they helped stiffen up the front end making it feel more like a solid unit instead of two sides.

    Up front, Chuck @Elephant Racing is a member of RGruppe as am I.

    Take a look at the physics of the ER triangulated brace. I've used the Welt and the ER cross brace. Adding the third leg is the answer. Period.
