    1969 S speedo - pic included

Is this a '69 speedo? I always thought that these cars had the silver center button all gauges, but my car, as well as two other cars I've seen have this gauge. The David Copson car had a kph speedo with the silver button, so I am totally confused. I need to confirm which is correct.

The 69S should have a silver button in the center. Both MPH or KPH.

Not sure about Ts and Es.

Interesting. Does anyone have a definitive picture of a '69 MPH speedo for reference?

    1969 speedo face.

Hello: The face on the 69 911 T,E and S cars all have a silver center on the speedo. I've owned 2-69 T's, have 69 E and own 2 70 cars an E and S. All cars have silver speedo centers and have both MPH and KPH. Thanks Eric

Do the face markings look correct? Could the needle have perhaps been replaced?

    Kenik,

Check out mine next time you see my car. I am almost certtain there is no difference between E and S speedo's. The speedo in your pic is definitely not a '69 as it does not have the threded studs on the back for the brakets to secure it in place.

    Kenik,

This is a proper 69 S speedo. Sorry for the pic quality.... Notice the silver center, the odo reset cable and the rear mounting studs (its a positive mount not a rubber grommet mount).
