    Last Minute Preparations for Sonoma

It's crunch time (only 4 days left for us Midwest guys). Who's still got their car apart?

I finished mine today. I put in a marathon session over the weekend - installed all new brakes, struts, shocks and lowered the car slightly. Took it in today for the alignment. This thing is running better than ever (knock on wood!) but seems to be pulling hard toward the left coast .....

Likewise, the '70E is really running and driving great. Just waiting for you to come this way in the Gray Wolf.

My new wheels just arrived from harvey today (6 and 7R's in RSR finish). Tomorrow the tires get mounted and then I get to tweak it so the 225's fit under the unflared haunches of my '69 without toasting the paint. It'll be tight, but it should work fine. Aftger that it gets an oil change and some odds and ends little issues taken care of and she is ready to make the run from Seattle to Sonoma. Can't Wait!

I am ready to go. I need to bleed the brakes and install the XM Satelitte receiver. Although the official name of our trip is the "Midwest RGruppe to Sonoma sponsored by Stoddard" trip, the underground title is "Tour de Fish Taco", so we may be looking for some good tacos on Tues!

Almost ready...need to finish up the front Koni strut install, change the oil,
and give the car 1 final detail. Somewhere along the way my Boge strut housings were updated to the later style, Koni's would not fit tight in the housings. No worries, Jason @ Paragon to the rescue, will have the req. spacers today & finish everything up. Everything else on the car seems good.
TDFT guys have a safe trip...I'll see you somewhere on I-40 heading west

    Smile Best of luck guys!

Best of luck on your trip! I hope to do this one of these days. I would offer help if there are problems along the way but you are starting out west of me, so I can only offer good luck. Enjoy!!
