    VIN Decoder??

Can anyone point me to a VIN Decoder for the early cars? I think the break-off for the carfax tool is 1981.

    thanks

You can't decode early VINs. They contain no useful data other than what model the car is and that the number ranges fall into specific years. If that is the info you are looking for, either post the VIN in question and I can look at my refernce book or you can buy your own copy here.

The vin decoder below will be helpful for at least getting the information that kenik mentioned.
