I love it. That's a lot of scratch for a car that needs the metal around the jack points replaced, but for some reason, it almost seems worth the asking price. This car floats my boat.

In his description, the seller states that the 67 911S was the fastest production car made in 1967?!
Last time I checked it was the AC Cobra with a 427 engine that was clocked at 196mph in 1964 on the British highways. Next in line would probably be the Lambo Muira. Makes me wonder what other hyperbole the seller might be using in his ad to describe his car...
I'm betting there were lots of limited production homologation cars that were faster. I'm not so sure that the statement is all so much hyperbole as it's part of the early S lore (or urban myth). I've been hearing it for many, many years.
I haven't crawled all over and under this car, but I've seen it. It looks like his description is fair and accurate. The paint is original, as is the interior and everything else (except as noted).

It's a neat car. Nice to see a survivor surface every once in awhile and Gruen that 64 Cobra must have been pretty damn quick to earn fastest production car in 67.

Fastest 2.0L production car in '67 would be safe. An Etype would certainly out accelerate, and have a higher top speed, but they were 4.2L in that year.

I don't know about the EType being faster. It should have been with the bigger engine, but it weighed more too. I had a 68 EType convertible about 10 years ago, and I would swear it isn't as fast as any early 911S I ever drove -that includes when it started too...
Guys thats a great looking car you have to admit and the originality of its
components goes without saying ..but hey are those headrests on those
original seats ? huh ? '67 ?
Didn't that start in like early '69 or is this an added safety feature by owner,
lets now hear from our sponsors ..aficionados cue please !
thanks Bert
My 68 has it's original seats with headrestson both seats.
