This rebodied turd was offered for sale on Classic Driver a few weeks back by a place called Caesar Trading. Here is the cached page link.

Interestingly this is the same place that listed it back in 2015. If you go back to page 68 in this tread and look at post #672 and Hugh's response in #673 you will get the full picture of this 'gem'.

It may not be a real RS, but it is probably a very nice drive. No collector value though, so something like a homebuilt RS.
How much are the parts + the build worth?

So it seems there is another car with the markings of 'RS' 1316. In the long Pesto Pelican thread recently a photo of the trunk VIN stamp of a white 911 with the VIN 9113601316 was posted. This is most likely the stamped VIN of the original 1316. The area around it looks suspect IMO.

RS 1316 original trunk VIN stamping.jpg

Alan, on the DDK forum, was in Japan inspecting cars that were for sale and took this photo showing the AL VIN tag of the same car. I am almost certain this is the original AL tag of 1316.

RS 1316 original AL VIN plate.jpg

The same person on Pelican who posted the trunk VIN, also posted a blurry photo of the production number of presumably the same car. The numbers I can read correspond to the correct production number of 1316.

    RS 1316 production number 1037608.jpg

To add to the weirdness, many of the other photos posted by this individual on Pelican show the exterior and interior of a White with Red graphics RS. These photos are of RS 0068! The car even has the Caesar Trading plate on the front. Look at the cached page from Classic Driver and then this car supposedly RS 1316. Very bizzare.

According to my "records", I would think that the Japanese white RS 1316 is the original one, except that this car is modified into a 2.8 RSR, with a 3.0 RSR engine.

On another RS, here is 911 360 0556:

the white one is 9113601109, or at least represents itself to be that car. I dont think it is and think it may be a complete fake. It has featured here a few times in various guises and is totally different in provenance to a car that I think was #1109 that was sold in the UK in 2002 after coming from France where it was a concourse winner.
It features here in a very long and convoluted post starting with its engine being found and in part about it being pulled from a RM auction in 2011 due to "identification issues"
However the threads on it being at RM and then being pulled, along with the photos that clearly identify the car, have disappeared from this site. This is the only reference I can find now on the site with comments from stacy and the ever reliable Tom (Sithot) re posting the words from the auction.. I LOVE the comment above in this context "and reborn by Marque expert Jack Molinier." the "rare" options listed are complete BS

I am not sure about the green one and would value input from any members from Europe who may know it. It MAY be <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]-->9113600602 or maybe 9113061013. If it is either my money is on 602 as I had a report of it some years ago with 98500kms on it which would be consistent with the current reading and the reported 1300 post restoration. However I note the tacho issue and wonder about the provenance given the other car listed

Hugh, 1109 is a complete fake, and I was the one who originally brought this to light. I saw it being 'restored...' I called Chuck Miller at the time, who knew the owner, and asked what the best course of action was. His advice was right on. We were able to get it pulled from the auction right before it hit the block, by involving some 'RS heavyweights' who showed up and proved to the auction house that it was NOT real. This kind of thing is sickening. I have no idea what happened to it after that, except to say....buyer beware...
