Congrats on the purchase Frank. I have drooled over the photos of your RS for years contemplating the switch back to chartreuse. If my black paint wasn’t from 73 I would have done it years ago. Our cars must have been painted at the factory together as there are no other chartreuse RS’s in the same chassis number bracket. I have emailed and pm’ed Jol a few times over the years, both inside and outside this forum but never got a reply. I guess he is still busy with his guitars.
Please keep in touch and we can swop notes on details when you take delivery. An up to date photo of yours would also be fantastic. Jol didn’t really post much here after he bought it. Here is mine last year in Sicily (where it was first delivered). A 4500 kilometer round trip for me and I loved every minute! She drove so well.

Jol is a great guy and talented musician for sure.

I know he was thinking of selling his white with red RS but didn't know he was thinking of selling the green RS. Please post up some photos of the RS when you have a chance Frank. I have not seen this car since my good friend Randy owned it before he sold it to Jol. Actually the first time I saw this car was in Monterey at the 2003 RGruppe Treffen. Cris H had arranged a large group of '73 Carreras for the 30th anniversary of the model. Seeing all those RS models in one location cemented my resolve to buy my car, which I had just found online oddly enough in an RM Muscle Car Auction catalogue in Detroit (but that is another story)

Brian, I went to view the white car but fell in love with the chartreuse one.. Jol is an incredible person very introspective besides being a world class guitar maker.. He and his wife were sad to see the car go, but we’re very gracious during the transaction. Photos will be a bit late as the car is three hours away for some necessary work. I don’t know any of the RS people, so who is Chris H , to help put your gathering comment in focus! I spent five years looking at LW and could not find a car that I felt was commensurate with the asking price. I had given up on a LW and began to consider a Touring when a photographer friend who wrote a recent article on Jol, told me about the cars. I was a Porsche dealer from 1973 to 2000 when I sold my PA/VW store. After retiring three years ago, I started to again play with Porsche’s, now have five including the RS.. Fun times, Frank

You are welcome Mike. Life is good here, hoping the same for you and your family. Your car would look great in green.

That makes sense Frank, I didn't think 1552 was for sale. You must have really sweet talked her to sell you the green RS, congratulations.

Cris Huergas is the co-founder of the RGruppe. Doing a search for his name and club name will give the background. The 2003 annual gathering was really cool for me as I had never seen so many fantastic early 911s in one place and the dozen or so '73 Carreras really blew me away.

Anyway, good for you for being persistent and patient in your search for the right car. Now that you own this RS, be sure to get a copy of the second edition of the Carrera RS book. Maybe you can get the 'matching number' for your car. Outstanding resource, the definitive book on the model. Look forward to photos when you can.

    Thank you for the link.

Do you know the VIN of the white with red graphics?
Is it an original Sport or Touring?

Jol’s white car is a Touring, stripped out as a Light Weight and raced for many years, but even thought it needs some attention, a good running car.. engine leak down 4% in all cylinders...
