    0313

What I can figure out is that there at the moment 2 313's on the planet. This one is probably the original tub with a replacement engine case, 6650653, re-stamped to 6630309. There is a second 313 (replacement body) in Seeblau (as 0313 was original from the factory) with the original transmission but non-original engine based on 911/81 case and many parts from the original tub.
I am sure the GP white/red car is very well sorted out car when it comes to driving but when it comes to originality, mmm..

    Hi Cees,
Are you sure the Cargold car is also 0313?
Check this one in link underneath, looks exactly the same car, but announced as 0320, but if you click on the Samba link the number even seems to end with an 8...
Can be coincidence, but this colour combo is rather unique and the car is also 'south of Stuttgart'.

    Hi Gert
that is a very good pick up - it seems to be the same car - see the decal on the driver side rear quarter window. IF it is 0320 it would have been delivered to "a German dealer" as the text says BUT it would have been light yellow at birth
    it cannot be 0328 - that was a factory RSR - R4

    adds to the confusion.........................

I am positive that I saw this as on the Samba one year ago and listed as 0313, not 0320. As Hugh said yellow original while 0313 was Seeblau originally. Cargold does not list this car on the website anymore. Someting is going on..

Even though this car has its faults, the provenance is there for sure. First owner Walter, second owner Tobias Aichele, who wrote the book “Forever Young”. A great book on the history of the 911. There are 100’s of 911 books, but his is deep in detail, and it is obvious he has inside connections.

    Dealer Description:

    - The only 1973 Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 ordered in paint-to-sample 'Giallo Oriente'
    - Recaro sports seats, headrests, sunroof and power windows
    - Italian-registered, 1,376 of the 1,580 built
    - Left-hand drive, first delivered to Germany
    - Known history from new, matching numbers
    - Winner of the 'Most Iconic Car' award at 2015 Villa d'Este Concorso d'Eleganza

Living most of its life in Italy, after a two-year, total restoration by Porsche Padova this superlative 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 wowed the crowds at Villa d’Este in 2015 when it was awarded the trophy ‘Most Iconic Car’. Helping it stand out was the striking colour scheme of Orientgelb (Oriental Orange), a special-order colour from Fiat’s 1970s palette – the only 2.7 RS finished in this shade. The vibrant colour, the world-class restoration and the rare and desirable options ordered when new makes this 2.7 RS one of the best we have ever offered.

    This Motor Car

Delivered new to (and most likely ordered by) well-established official Porsche dealer Hahn Automobile of Fehlbach, Germany, this 2.7 RS was unique in being the sole car finished in a Fiat colour ref 294, Giallo Oriente; Orientgelb in German, Oriental Orange in English. The interior was black Perlcord, a man-made cloth.

In addition to the M472 Touring package, options fitted were:
    - Headrest left/right (258)
    - Sports seat left/right (409)
    - Three-point automatic seat belt left/right (419)
    - Electric antenna, right
    - Speakers (441)
    - Electric sunroof (650)
    - Electric windows (651)

After delivery in mid-1973, with 20,000km covered and still at Hahn, the car was bought by Claudio Del Bufalo, an Alitalia pilot then living in Rome. Hahn retained the car for a short while as a demonstrator, then Del Bufalo officially imported it to Italy on 10 April 1974. For the rest of its life it remained in Italy.

    Several questions

I am slowly entering the market for a Carrera 2.7 RS. Looking for a no-stories, clean but driver's example to keep... Seeing prices all over the map but many of the cars on market are hyper-restored concours cars that are likely overkill for me. Also tend to find cars that are in Europe. Questions for this group:

    1. What I the best way to find a car as described? Are their private brokers for Carrera RSs? I know who to call to find a Carrera GT privately but not for this wonderful car.

    2. How essential is the LSD option for driving enjoyment? Other options I could take or leave but this seems the only one that could effect that actual enjoyment and wanted to get owner feedback.

    3. Anybody have experience bringing a car over from EU or UK?

    4. Any other advice from this experienced group?

I am a patient man and will look for a car that I can be a caretaker for while enjoying it on local drives.

    Cheers and Happy New Year!

    Matt
