The crew participated in four rallies of the Acropolis Rally of Monte Carlo two, two rallies of Poland, the East African Safari 1978, a rally of Portugal, the rally of Romania and the Mediterranean Tour 1978 rally Ivory Coast 1979. But one of the most brilliant performances of the crew will intervene in the Monte Carlo rally 1975. on the special St Barts - St-Michel-les-Portes, the fifth sign Dulcy time, just behind the likes of Sandro Munari (Lancia), Jean-Pierre Nicolas (Alpine), Markku Alen (Fiat) and Hannu Mikkola (Fiat). The file accompanying the car contains many articles mentioning this active period and brilliant. After the 1979 season, this valorous Porsche will remain stored away in Dulcy Bernard in Avignon. Since 1975, regular maintenance is performed by Michel Baumet Automobiles, brand specialist, excellent reputation and based in Morières-lès-Avignon. But in 1992, Bernard Dulcy decided to put the car in and entrusts the body shop Franck Alesi, father of Jean Alesi. The company then restoration retains many original body parts. Among the works, there is the rehabilitation of the hood and rear bumpers paint, outdoor presentation is consistent with the original version, with its white hue Grand Prix and red lettering on the sides, the hood and the famous fin back. The polished alloy wheels with red rays are a good model and have a width of 7 inches in the front and 8 inches in the rear. Bernard Dulcy had died, it was his son Sébastien Dulcy who inherited the car. It is separated in 2007, from an amateur who proposed it at auction in 2008, when it passed into the hands of another collector, former rally driver responsive to cars with a real prize list . The latter did replace the exhaust steel, for the quality of the sound, and has regularly entrusted to Michal Baumet for maintenance, as evidenced by the bills. We can see there a complete reconstruction of braking, train control rolling and various small details. In 2011, the owner took part in the Tour Auto and arrived in Biarritz, it rose by road to Paris, as "private" practiced at the time! Folder bills, articles, rally plates and photos showing his busy life. Eligible for many historic events, this car is a Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 "private" with a best possible ranking. Hi,
I have a feeling that the US based 1014 is the real deal. I think it was once owned by Fred Brubaker, member of this community...It has the Italian indicator light lenses and they mention at least the rallye history. With the German vendor there is no mention at all and that is weird although they claim to have a few original engines with the car.....mmm. This car was already offered for sale in Essen in 2013.
Cees
The last time i saw "a #1014" for sale it was by private sale in Monaco in 2014 and it looked different to BOTH of these. "1014" was restored in Italy leading up to ESSEN in 2007 where I believe it was sold. The Monaco car had a welded in and tangerine strut brace in the front that the German car does not have (the German car is so wrong in so many other ways like gauges etc as well)
the Monaco car had no glove-box lid, cant see on the rennlist one, certainly not the aluminum pedals or the gear shift that the rennlist one has, the steering wheel was stock (all things that can be changed) and the mileage shown was 33868 compared to 18091 on the rennlist one (not so easily changed) (does anyone have a photo of the dash and mileage at Essen?)
the engine bay of the Monaco car had a one bolt yellow zinc fan strap (and all the extra "snorkel air intake equipment) whereas the rennlist one has a black 2 bolt strap
