    Instrument Panel Color

There was a scratch on the panel that the instruments mount in and I spent the day masking, sanding and repainting. I'm not at all pleased with how it came out however as the paint doesn't match.

I first used Flat Black and it turned out to be too dull. I then used Semi-Flat Black and it turned out to be to glossy. ????? Does anyone know what paint matches up with the original? Is there any way I can reduce the luster of the Semi-Flat, using very fine steel wool, color sanding or somesuch?

If I can't match it I guess I'll just remove all of the instruments and paint the whole thing. Thanks for your help.

I've heard that Wurth Satin Black is pretty close.

I've always considered the glass to be half full...that is until I reached middle age and realized that it is actually half empty.
