Maybe I'll come by with the new 911, but it's the same weekend as the Parts Heaven swap meet so I might be out of town...

Funny, but I'm doing the opposite of Marco! I'm going to skip the Parts Heaven swap-meet 45 minutes down the road from my house and drive 6+ hours to Chino, mainly to provide moral support to a friend of Steve McQueen who got talked into displaying a car... We'll be in the bar Friday night (do they even have a bar at Boys Republic?)...

I'll probably be caravanning in with my friend's display car (a race car which will arrive on a trailer); in any event I'm driving a short-hood (one of Scott Longballa's former cars).

Besides, if the Friday dinner show with Vic Elford and Jonathan Williams is any good, 6:45 am may be a little ambitious...

While my Nor-Cal pals were getting soaked in Sonoma, I was enjoying the perfect weather at Boys Republic in fabulous Chino Hills. What a great car show! They even gave my pal a watch (shown by his P.R. Director). Chuck, I saw your Gulf cap out the corner of my eye couple of times and intended to re-introduce myself, but I needed to beat feet back up to Santa Cruz via the beautiful and desolate Carrizo Plain in the daylight.
