    Hole-In-One Prize

My golf club is hosting 35 Marines next Wednesday for a round of golf and dinner. We thought it would be great idea to have a nice prize for a hole-in-one on a Par 3. Since the hole happens to be behind my house, someone had the bright idea of offering one of my early Porsches for the prize.

They decided my '72 S Targa would be cool. The odds are 400,000 to 1 against a hole-in-one and we bought hole-in-one insurance. But I'm not sure how hard I'm going to be pulling for an ace.

    Cheers,
    John Audette

You've got nothing to worry about. With that much snow on the ground the marines won't be able to identify the green, with or without their night vision goggles.

    Burma Shave

Here's a fun part where I need some help. I know most here are too young to remember Burma Shave signs, but we would like to put some out on the 2 or 3 holes before the hole-in-one hole. Here's an example of what I'm looking for:

    http://www.fiftiesweb.com/burma1.htm

I know, I know -- those are *really* corny. I'm trying to come up with 2-3 clever ones that pertain to winning the '72 S Targa with a hole-in-one on hole #13. Anyone want to give it a shot? As this is only vaguely related to Porsches, please PM me with your ideas.

    Thanks,
    John Audette

Clever way to sell a car, John...make the hole bigger but don't tell the insurance company...
