    Wink Engine Rebuilt 2.2S

At last, the engine is being rebuilt!!

Marc told me he made some upgrades adding pins to the casing and modified the headstuds. Here are some photographs:

    Hi Milou,

Your car is coming along nicely. Who did the machine work on the case for you? I hope case savers were used for the studs, these are superior to time certs. Did you have the oil bypass modification done? Thanks for sharing photos of your project. When done you will have the 'perfect' early 911.

Marc de Siebenthal in Lausanne Switzerland is responsible for the restoration. Yes, he did show me something in the casing about the oil bypass but I did not understand the concept fully to be honest, just that less oil accumulated at the bottom? On the studs, I'm not sure which he chose but he's quite knowledgeable and seems to be quite respected here in Europe for his engine preparations. He also told me something about the pistons being modified and the cylinders being slightly larger (?)

You are in good hands by looks of the hardware around your car. Be sure to send us more photos along the way. That is going to a fantastic car when it is done.
