Thumbs up A Great Something to do

Who's going to the California Speedway this weekend? Its the POC 13th annual Tribute to Lemans. Guess what you will get to drive your car on the actual TRACK for a PARADE LAP and photo op at the start/finish line, for free. Bring your early car if you can, this is for Early 911S members and RGruppe members(yes that means 912,911,911L,911T,911E,911S,RS,RSR,Hot Rods, etc). In otherwords if your lucky and own a 997 and a early car bring the early car. This event will also have a peoples choice concourse award also and there will be plenty of venders showing and selling stuff. Remember these will be PARADE LAPS ONLY no racing, but you'll be able to say you drove that track Please show support on this we need a great showing(something like Santa Rosa would be nice ). We will meet for breakfast at 7:30a at Denny's in Ontario(715 N. Milliken Ave.). Please contact John Dilger at email address johndilger@aol.com for a parking pass, for without this pass no parade lap. My man Chuck Miller has a much more detail post on this in Drives, Gatherings, etc. JIM

If anyone needs directions to the 7:30a breakfast at Denny's in Ontario here it is(coming from LA). Take the 10 freeway east to Milliken exit(this is the last exit before you reach the 15) and turn left(north), you will see the Denny's on the left side of the street(westside). I know to the non SOCAL people this doesn't mean a thing and even some SOCAL people can't attend, but we will pour a little orange juice on the ground for the Porsche people who won't be able to make it JIM

Sounds like fun did it a couple years ago with the group.
Hope you guys get a bunch of fast laps.
A couple of us volunteered to help some local racers out during the 4 hour enduro.
If (WHEN) Jim and Mike Copp get on the podium that will be the pit for cold ones and cigars!
I'll be up in the rafters with radios calling traffic and flags for the Copp's, visit us after the race.
The Copp's car recently got wrapped.
3.2 310rwhp with 46PMOs. 1950lbs. WOT through the Nascar bank @ 150mph. In 4 hours expect 2 driver changes and 1 tire change.
At the start of the 4 hour enduro a seperate 2 hour 2 car tag team race with a car change after 1 hour should be interesting to watch too!
