1) The VIN is not an S Vin. S VIN's in 1967 end in S.
2) Engine type is 901/05 - this is NOT an S engine. It is an aluminum case with solex type cams with webers.

Also, the advertiser does not know what he is talking about.
1) The VIN number IS the chassis number. He lists a seperate chassis number.
2) No such thing as 6 weber carbs. They are two triple barrels.
3) Porsche never made 5 1/2 X 16 wheels.
After looking at the pics, there are more issues:
1) The rear bumperettes on S cars had rubber - this one does not
2) The Porsche script is silver in the pics
3) Wrong outside rearview mirror
4) Door gaps are awful
5) Chassis plate looks wrong
6) Incredibly awful paint job
7) Tacho red line indicates NON S
8) Dash script says 911 - not 911S
9) A nice stick holding the front lid up
10) Significant weld repair on the pan - patchwork.
This might be about a $9000 car. I'd give him $5K.

oops, you're right. That's what I get for using a computer database when I have the Red Book right on the shelf.
Thanks!

The only "S" thing is the 911S on the rear deck. Instruments look strange. Has a leather wrapped steering wheel. I like the interior door handles. There not missing the screw covers which I've been looking for. Lots of fresh looking undercoating and a Philly car may mean rusty
Currently:
67 3.6 Rocket "Silver"
62 T6 Outlaw Coupe "ole Yellow"
65 F100 Custom Cab Flairside Shortbed
Gone but not forgotten in last 2 years:
67S Concours King
67 912 Vintage Racer
68 912 Flipper
83 911SC
93 Mo30 968
too many cars before that

"its better to wear out then rust out"
It doesn't have the chrome trim on the inside door handle, and strip on door panel. S's do.
Yeah, definitely not an S. What about the red engine shroud? Did all 911s have these in '67 (the red book doesn't mention it) or do you think the seller "added" it in? They did add the 911S engine lid script...
