    Correct headrest?

My 1968 911S, A series, was delivered without headrests which I want to install for safety reasons.
Is the attached headrest type correct for my car?
    Thanks to all the experts!!

The 1968 model year (US) was a transitional year. My understanding was that '68s came with either the earlier 356-style headrests that mounted on the back of the seats or the later-styled headreast that mounted on the top.

The transition appears in a lot of places. I know I found an aluminum engine grill that didn't fit because 68s came with both 6 and 8 hole mounts on the engine lid.

But I believe the style you listed was more prevalent. Check your seatbacks to be sure. All seatbacks should have mounts for one or the other.

    Thanks for your info´s!!

Well the seats in my car, which was produced in March 1968, has the holes for the head rests at the top. So that would be ok.
Up to the end of December 1967 they were installed at the back (earlier style).

    Hi Garth,
you are correct the seat color is tan, but I will send them to the Sitzklink and change the color. Next step will be to buy R seats like you had. They are perfect!!!!
