rear bumpers wit NO deco strip?

I just got a pair of rear bumpers with a package that have no holes at all for any kind of deco strip. They are super clean, yellow and in plastic bags, so they might be NOS. Did any bumpers come with no holes or no strip?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Yes

The very early cars had no rubber bumper pads. They may have been an option from the beginning but not all cars were delivered with them. They later became standard equipment in the US though I'm not sure what year that was. My brother's European delivery '65 purchased new had only the chrome bumpers.

Stefan - I think that Matt is talking about rear bumpers not the bumperettes (overriders)...
