Thread: Pertronix Ignition Problem?

  1. #11
Here is a thought...check the battery to see if it is fully charged and getting a charge. Since all of the items that you mention are effected by voltage. Ground even? This may not help but you have to know what is right to find out what is wrong.

Not tempeture related drove just as bad cold as hot. I used the Eastwood kit on the fuel tank so the tank and lines are like new. Will try a different battery. Could explain wht it ran good and then bad. Ordered coil and points to install next.

    Tank coating

Hello: I had a customer car that had a coated tank and the coating was peeling away and plugging the vent hole and the pick up on the bottom. I also have a customer who had water in the tank problems. It was from a bad fuel cap. When he washed the car it would allow some water to get into the tank and then it would run bad. New cap was installed problem solved. These are just weird things that I have seen. Good luck and let us know what you find out. Thanks Eric

IMHO, they are simply a curse.
Facets have been junk for years. At least 20-25 if my memory is treating me fairly tonight.

    Facet fuel pump

Hello: As a side note the Facet pumps work ok on lawn tractors and for removing fuel from motorcycle gas tanks. They to seem to work on 912's as well. Thanks Eric
