    LSD for my 67S

I have a 67S in the works and am planning on installing my BRAND NEW ZF limited slip in the trans. As some of you know, these LSD's came fitted with flanges for the Nadella type axels. It seems that I have read that the Nadellas are problematic. Does anyone have experience with this setup? What about changeing over to CV type axels? Any input that you guys have will be greatly appreciated.

Only problem I've had with my Nadellas is getting the motivation to start staring at another part. There just beautiful, those 3 half shafts with the knuckles on them, they make the standard cv joints look like something from Japan.

John, where did you find that thing? I'm very jealous. We are talking about the early 901 case only LSD (904.332.053.00) right? I understand that the Nadella drive flanges used with this diff are unique, and also very difficult to find. I've heard someone builds a drive flange that will work with that diff and alllow the use of CV type axles. I'll see if I can find a name if you would like.

    limited slip

    Tom,
Thanks for your reply. I have had that peice for about 3 years. It is still unused and in the original bag! It came with the Nadella type drive flanges but I want to be sure that I am doing the right thing before I go ahead and install it that way.

gear oil for 904 LSD and 901 gearbox

    Hello John,

if you install the ZF LSD 904 type for your 901 gearbox you should either use Shell Spirax A 90 LS or Shell Spirax MB 90 gear oil. These are the only 2 types which are allowed for the early 904 LSD. I have verified that topic at Porsche Classic a few weeks ago.

    Hope it helps!

    Claudius
