    RS stolen today in UK

A very close friend of mine who lives in the states, just had his RS stolen as it was being prepped for shipment from the UK to Japan. This quite literally just happened today. He's not a member of this board (that I am aware of) but also owns a nice 69S, 65SC coupe, and a very nice 62 B cab (that I am currently storing for him).

I have just recvd his brief initial email, and am awaiting further information from him. The serial # is 9113601247. I don't have my RS book available this second, so I don't know the engine or color (to be verified by my friend as soon as he finds his wits!).

I will post further information as soon as I know it.

If someone in the UK could post to the DDK it would be appreciated.

Any and all help in this would be greatly appreciated... please pass this info far and wide. I will cross post to Pelican shortly. I'm not a member on Rennlist, so if there is a Rennlist member that could post there it would be appreciated.

    thanks!!!

    I'm waiting for a photo.

The car is white, with no side graphics. Factory bucket racing seats, supposed to be a matching number car.

Car was stolen from a friend of his garage. It was kept there for just one day in between the storage facility and the shipping company.

Though the car is not a pristine example, being a lightweight and a matching number car, it was a very good example for a restoration.

    thanks,
    Eric

Eric - just seen this thread.

Do you know what area of London the car was taken from ?

Incidentally, Mike (Moore) has posted the info on DDK.

    Andy,

Thanks for letting me know about DDK.

Here's the location of theft, note that the car had not been registered in the UK.

Kentish Lane, Brookmans Park, Harts, U.K. = North of London

    I should have pics shortly.

    Thanks Andy!!

Here's a poor pic, but it's a start, waiting for more. By the way, this pic was taken in the UK, anybody know what shop this is? Perhaps there are a few more pics from this shop owner.

One more, I have quite a few detailed pics, but no others showing the full car right now. Note that the dashboard has stitching running around the edge.
