    Basic Clutch Adjustment - 915

Engine FINALLY goes back in this weekend. Everything has cleaned up nicely and is going together well.

Can someone talk me through the basic clutch adjustment for the 915? I have the first edition of the factory manuals but don't have the years that cover my car. (It is on my list.) The car goes to the shop for the once over on the 13th and I need to have it together by then. I am getting excited. I can drive it again in less than two weeks!

    Thanks.

    Pretty simple...

At the transmission, where the clutch cable meets the clutch arm is an adjustment. The end of the cable is threaded with double nuts. You loosen the nuts and tighten/loosen as needed. I like for my clutch to catch about an 1" off of the floor. The longer the cable (less threaded end protruding from nuts) the closer the release is to the floor.
