550 Replica with a 2 liter Subaru motor!

I know that this is a replica but what fun it would be. Anyone ever driven one with this type of engine in it? With that much hp to weight, I can't see anything coming even close to it. Is it safe?

That is a nicely done car, not what I would have done, but the execution appears very well detailed. That's a griffin aluminum radiator.

That sucker is going to be bloody fast. I like the fact they didn't cheap out and use 4 lug brakes.

wonder if they can get the power down on 'skinny' tires and rwd? Regardless, it looks like a great mongrol and a ton of fun.

There was one at the Portland Parade a few years ago that had a tricked out 2.7 in it. At least it was all Porsche real and replica. I have a picture somewhere I'll see if I can find.

It appears to be very well done...

Should I have the space and the $$$, I would consider it.

Seems like you'd have to move a lot of air through that radiator to keep that strung-out engine happy, a bit more than those nose vents would allow anyway...

The last one of these I drove was a little on the scary side. Not just me either because Bobby Smith drove too. If the suspension isn't squared away I suspect you will find stains embedded in the drivers seat cushion.

This, however, one of the best ones I've seen in a while.

It is nicely done and I believe that he has $40k into it, but a couple of things bother me. Why doesn't he show a head on view of where the radiator air duct is, and what the hell was he thinking with the clock?
