    Thank you, Bill.
Cold you tell me whether there are two hole for the screws or there is a slit for the lower screw? Mine has two holes, but I can not put the screw into the lower hole.

I looked and there are just the 2 holes in the cover. The lower hole is not a slit.
My car is a February car with serial number 9112300518. It has leather interior, a sunroof, AC and front Fog lights. What month was yours made?

    Bill,
I do not know when my Porsche was made, but its serial # is 9112301380.
My relay cover is very close to yours, but the lower screw can not be fit to the hole.
I have been looking for the real relay cover for 72 Porsche. Do you know who has it?

    Thank you

I just took my cover off and measured the distance between the 2 holes. If you measure from the bottom of the top hole to the bottom of the lower hole on the fender side you should get 128mm. If you get this measurement then may be your electrical panel is mounted low. You might try loosing the screws for it and raising it. Also your attaching screws should have the very large heads like in the picture, with a flat washer of about the same diameter.

Sorry that I did not get back to you yesterday, but I was at a Model A Ford Club meeting.

Did the 1970 911 have a relay cover? What was the first year to have one?

    Lee,

1971 was the first year for these covers.
The holes were in a straight line ,not offset as were the later ones made.
Don't know what the changeover year was - maybe '73.

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

    Bill,
Mine is also 128 mm. I tried to slide the cover a little to put the screw into the lower hole, yes, I could. I think mine might be for '72 cover. Thank you.

My 72S, 9112301382 was built in May 72, which would most likely be your car's build month.
