    H1 lenses

I discussed H1 lights w/ Peter Kane yesterday and was left w/ a question.

Were H1 lenses (clear, no grain) used on H4 lights as well? My friend's RS has this combo and we wonder if it's correct or a mix up.

    Regards,

    Richard

p.s. I have an outstanding set of H1's available. Clear glass. No rust in the rings, no pits in the lenses $900. Pictures available.

No, H1 lenses were never used on H4 headlamps (or vise versa) - the lenses are matched to the reflectors in all lamps &, if swapped, will ruin the light pattern.

Hey Richard, I think where the confusion is that the original H4 lenses (early version) did not have the dots at the top just like the H1s. The replacement lenses sold now have the dimples on the inside unlike the originals. My guess is to divert the light out instead of up. DOT thing??? I have nothing to base this info on but looking at early cars for way toooo long.
