Thread: Door Weatherstripping

    Door Weatherstripping

Does this weatherstrip (with the vertical ribs) look like the stock weatherstrip for a 1973T?

I cannot get my door to adjust flush and still have the latch operate easily, and I'm wondering if aftermarket weatherstripping was used by a PO (maybe it was too thick).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Of course check in the channel for consistant depth. There were 3 pieces of bodywork that stacked right there where you show out of 4 overall. Have your rockers/ longitudinals been replaced? Some don't get that just right. What you can do is remove some of the rubber off the back of the w/s if you can't get the clearance you need in the channel. Or, you can stretch it a little thinner there when you glue it in. HTH.
