    R Gruppe visits Ruf

    On our way to Le Mans, we stopped to visit Alois Ruf. We received a tour of Ruf, had lunch with Alois and his wife, and test drove one of his newest cars.

    ALL the stories you read about how nice he and his wife are, are ALL true.
    UNFORGETTABLE the way they treated us. The hospitality shown was remarkable.

    lunch with Ruf

    after the tour of the shop and showroom, we went to lunch.

    Mr. Ruf drove to the restaurant. It was a new Cayman. They are in the process of doing several modifications.


    at the restaurant, Mr. and Mrs. Ruf. LOTS of stories they told. The food, atmosphere, the restaurant was FANTASTIC.


    straight ahead is the owner of the restaurant. He came with Mr. Ruf to Daytona for Rennsport II. He was the chef who catered his dinner party.
    To the left is Mr. White Sox. he is the driver of the yellow Bird in the Faszination video

    That dinner was GOOD, unfortunately they ran out of beer.

    My buddy 2006 Ruf turbo looks kinda diffrent next to my 67S but kinda the same

    Great thread and very timely for me!! I took delivery of the attached Ruf RTurbo 550 on Friday and all I can say is this car ROCKS!!!!! Wow, what a fantastic blend of performance and refinement at the same time. Nice enough to take my wife out for a night on the town, but evil enough to dispatch of almost anything that crosses my path.

    And by the way, if the dwarf who owns the Saleen Mustang that I encountered today in Laguna Niguel happens to be trolling this board, I have one simple message:

    I OWN YOUR SORRY LITTLE ASS!!!!
