    Manual Publishing numbers and dates

    Bob Tilton has just started a thread looking for the sport purposes manuals. Do you know of any manuals that you can add to this list of early manuals by Publishing number and date such as:

    W 312 e 911 Drivers Manual I/65, This is the owners manual that has a picture of stamped serial number 300 001

    W 312e 911 Drivers manual XI-65

    W 316e 911S Drivers manual X-67 (model year ?)

    W 329 TYP 911R August 1967, English translation Jan 1977

    W351e 911 911L 911T 9111S
    Information Regarding PORSCHE Vehicles Used for Sports Purposes 1968

    4606.20 Edition IV/68 Type 911 Drivers manual for 2 Ltr. engine from 1965 thru 1968. The 4xxx publication number looks to be the factory number for a reprinted manual.

    911E Manuals, 1972 Green and Yellow?

    This is interesting, 2 manuals for the 1972 911E were these different colors or has the green just faded from the originl color?

    Here's an interesting one...

    This is a copy of a 10 page Porsche + Audi US sales bulletin # 72/98 dated Dec. 6, 1972...

    As we know the RS debuted in Europe in Oct. and the factory sold out their 500 orders within days of the show. This US bulletin was published about 8 weeks later after the factory knew they would have to start the second 500... the first of the second series rolled out in Jan. '73. This copy was given to me by my friend Chris Florin who got one of the originals as a hand out at the '73 LA Auto show (see period B&W pics of RSR #1008) sometime between early Dec. '72 and early Feb. '73 (can't quite pin down the exact date of the '73 LA Auto Show)

    So I'm think'n the RSR display and this sales bulletin was to try and hedge their bets with the bean counters and try to sell these un-US registerable cars to the 'rich' US/CA./L.A. enthusiasts...

    ... little did they know... ... or may be they did ...
