    A Tale of Two Crests

    When I dismantled my 67S, which I've owned since 1990 I knew that one of the parts I needed to replace was the hood crest, because it's the new style with the cloisone finish. I bagged and tagged and didn't look at it closely. Then a few months later I bought a 67 Normal for parts which had the correct crest. Now my car is painted abd the assembly stage is at hand, so I started going thru my parts and noticed that both crests have 901 part numbers on the inside. Whats with that?. See the pics:

    This is pretty well documented. The later badges still have 901 part number, but you of course know which one is correct.
