Thread: 001 MFI pump on Ebay - I am bidding on it right now

Exclamation 001 MFI pump on Ebay - I am bidding on it right now

If you are interested in the pump, talk to me first. I'm prepared to come heavy on this one, but want to make sure that anyone else on this board who is interested talks to me first. I'd hate to see two board members bidding up an item for no reason.

OK, so the seller ended the auction early to sell the pump for the current bid price of $511. I asked the seller all week to end the auction early and name his price while I was the leading bidder. WHAT THE HE!! Now he ends it on a whim to a buyer that is one of the more maligned sellers on Pelican?

From the ads, it looks like the seller is a fellow R Gruppe member I met in Santa Rosa. This car is shown several times in other auctions and was featured prominently at the Treffen:

He wouldn't even return my emails! Does anybody know this email address? ctwfactorytour@hotmail.com. Could it really be him or just some other seller using his car to sell parts? I can't imagine this level of discourtesy from a fellow R Grupper.

This has completely ruined my day. I'm just glad next year's Treffen is a year away so I have time to calm my nerves.

Pumps are everywhere. I cannot tell you how many were taken off in the late 70's early 80's. Just ask around.

My problem is that the 001 pump was made for less than half of one year for the '69S. I have been foiled multiple times in trying to find any 001 pump, much less a good one. Well that's all for this work day; time to go home and break something...
