    Is this a noise supressor?

    round three spade terminal unit with 0 227 990 001 on the can

    ok found out it is a switching unit for the cd unit (3 prong)

    Switching unit? What does that do? Some kind of relay?

    Dave, it is a "tach adaptor" that is required to use a Bosch CDI with a pre-1969 tachometer.

    Seach over on pelican under my name and "tach-o-woe" for a detailed thread all about it.

    If you don't need it, I do, for my '66 which uses a CDI for street operation.
