R Gruppe member now showing at the NEW MB Museum.....

Concept designer is his day job, R Gruppe member Thorsten Klein had a very unexpected surprise when he recently visited the museum.

On the bottom floor of the museum is an exhibit that shows how cars go from concept sketch to production. While walking past the interior sketches, one of his sketches is on display!! He is now a part of the MB Museum!!!!!!!!!

That's crazy!! I looked at that photo for a couple of minutes and was convinced they were small models. I've got many of them in my own model collection.

Wow! Thanks for the pics, Ray. That is one cool museum, best I've seen so far in pics and in person.

I love wire wheels. I've even thought of putting some on a 911, but I don't think it would go over well with the Porsche crowd. I would jump to Ferrrari or Maserati in a minute, money aside, to have the look of wire wheels. (I'm talking '60's here).
