    Stock Seats Seatbelt Help Please

    Hi All,

I'm replacing my '72 stock seats with some new GTS Classics Monte Carlo's and I've run into a seatbelt issue. I'd like to reuse the seat belt receiver from the original seat. My question is this, is the electrical connection to the receiver necessary? I know that it turns out the "Fasten Seat Belt" light. Should I fish it out of the original seat and reattach under the new seats? Perhaps there a recommended way to close the circuit?

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Jorge

    Nice Seats!

    Hello Jorge,

I put a pair of Monte Carlos (perforated leather) in my '72 T also. Some feel they're a little too snug and firm but I love 'em! Sorry I can't help you with your wiring question as mine is a very early production '72 that came without the seat belt warning wiring.
