New Early 911S Racing Videos Uploaded

    Guys,

I uploaded some new videos of my racing adventures. On the most recent one you'll be proud of how a 69 S based 2 liter race car can beat a 2005 GT3...

Oh yeah, tons of aural pleasure for those that like the sound of a revved up 2 liter

Feel free to check them out at www.alteregoracing.com under the gallery tab.

I plan to include a gallery page for my street going 69S soon.

    Juan,
Great video! Nothing quite like the sound of a 2.0 revving up

    Hey Chris,

Glad you enjoyed it. I hit 150 to 155 per my gearing calculator. Its quite cool especially when playing with the bigger boys...

I await confirmation of upload of the recent Sebring Enduro I took a part on. I expect it to be ready later today.

    Cheers, Juan

    Juan,

Not sure about the rest of you but the sound is breaking up at the top end of your RPMs ... on all your videos. It's REALLY frustrating!!! ... wondering if anyone else is having the same trouble ... or is it just me ??? .... Your videos are so fantastic ... but it's hard for me to listen that sweet little motor breaking up and missing on the top end...

Is there anything I can do on my end ???

    Cheers,

    Chuck,

There is nothing you can do at your end. Sorry, its a combination of the conversion process to windows media (rendering) and the heads losing contact with the tape due to high frequency vibration in the race car.

I have tried to add more insulation and achieved some relief. I'm readjusting my camera mount to have a different length on the mounting arm to hopefully have the resonance occur at a different frecuency and (hopefully again) eliminate or control vibration.

Next thing is to change to a lipstick camera and mount the video on a foam lined box instead of an "IO Port" mount.

I'm working on it and appreciate suggestions............

    Regards, Juan

    Hey Juan

I just watched the Sebring video. That was awesome. You seem so relaxed. It's amazing how you can go toe to toe with those much later 911s. Really cool!

Thanks for making the effort to post the videos. Very cool.
I also enjoyed watching your overtaking other cars in the Sebring video.
It looks like you were gaining a lot of ground under braking. Your car must be well prepared.
    Thanks again.

Thanks Scott. The car is awesome, now if I could drive up to its potential... Being a weekend warrior I'm not up to snuff and have some more seconds a lap left still.
