Porsche Logo Leatherette Horn Button for Early Wheels

Bought this from AASE so that I could assemble a GT 914-6 wheel from a "parts" horn button. I have since found a complete one in awesome condition and no longer need it. This is new and is really a nice piece if your horn button is crap. Approx 6" square.
    $40 + $4 shipping to lower 48.

    button shield question

    Bob

Since you have a picture of a real horn button emblem on your other post.

If you compare the repro you have for sale........how close are they????

It looks like the real one is stamped/embossed and the repro is raised.

    Are they the same???

I know if I needed one, the repro would fit the bill.

    Thanks,
    Scooter

It's close but there are differences. I would not say where the original is embossed the repro is debossed or vice versa - just a little different. Also, the grain is more "coarse" in the original. All in all it's a good solution to replacing a very crappy original and not pay ebay's $250+ asking price these days for a complete button.
