Thread: Recover race seat?

    Recover race seat?

Does anyone know who can recover this seat in fabric like this? I have asked around locally and they were dumbfounded (shock). The original padding is in great shape, as is the headres, it just needs a new cover.

    Seat cover.

Hello: The material looks like headliner material. I have recovered old race seats that I have had with the headliner material. It looks very close if not the same depending on the seat. You can go to Joannes fabrics and look at the material to compare. If it close enough then buy a couple of yards and talk to the ladies there to see if they can sew you a new cover. It should cost you about $60 total. OR you could take the seat to a auto seat cover place and pay $200. You could also sew it yourself. If you are a single guy there are some good looking women that go there on Saturdays. I'm married but I did notice that. Hope this helps some. Thanks Eric

    Hello Paul
I can recover that seat with the correct Recaro fabric. The head liner fabric close but not as black or as durable, it pills up with use. The turn around time is about a week.
