    Steering wheel?

Is a leather steering wheel, with the parts number 914 347 805 11, originally from a 914-6? In the PET for models 1972 and up it says:

    914 347 805 11 steering wheel hard rubber ring
    914 347 805 11 steering wheel 914-6
    914 347 805 11 steering wheel leather M914-4
    914 347 809 00 steering wheel foam part

Does this mean that the 805 11 wheel could be had as an option on the 914-4and that all 805 11 wheels would be considered to be a genuine 914-6 wheel?

    Hi John,

Could have been on either a 914-4 or 6. It all depends on which hub is on the wheel to determine if the use was originally for a 4 or 6.
