A good buddy of mine worked there once. His first job was to re-wire a car even though he told them he was/is color blind!
Well, I don't need to clue you in on what happened next.

Nice rear flare. They had a spacer too much on the left side and suspension wasn't quite tuned so there was a burn through. Glasurit to the rescue when they get it home.

Our own wee Irishman, Shawn Hilligas, just happens to be related to a more famous Hilligas that made this kind of race car chassis. They were supposed to be the bee's knees according to folks I've talked to that know them.
This is NOT a Hilligas but I took the photo for Shawn.
The driver of this car did not have much personality so I only photo'd the rear of the car. Probably some sort of Freudian thing. He mumbled something about a Hilligas chassis', turned his back and walked away.
I suppose when you are at an event that has such high stakes and purses as Lime Rock it's important to stay focused.

Vic Edelbrock among others could not have been more cordial.

For the American Sports Car Crowd

The guy that owned this Pantera bought it in this condition. This is the way everyone should be so lucky to find a car. No restoration costs incurred! Very friendly and knowledgeable chap.

It is a really sweet car. I've always like Panteras, however ....

Soterik sent me a photo of a new color that he saw on a Boxster. This was Sunday morning and it was raining but I saw the color on the 997 and took a chance. The camera did it's best but as you may be able to tell it missed the essence of the color. It's a very striking metallic reddish orange.
Chevrolet has a similar but different color on the new Corvette C6. I believe it's something subtle like Atomic Orange.
