That's not a very good welding job on the lower right side rocker panel. Someone welded a patched inner rocker to the outer rocker.

The body shop stripped the rocker back and cut the rust out for investigation purposes. The next job was to instruct them to take the rocker off and proceed could really do with the outer rocker removed and middle rocker section checked and restored before welding back up, not a major job but no time to do it, its got to go before I move...

Hence the pictures so you know what your getting.

That was the last job before hanging the doors and paint prep.

    Thanks

I was probably a bit harsh - apologies.

Having done this many times, I was disturbed at the two lower photos in the auction advertisement. They show the right side outer rocker panel over the missing portion of the inner rocker panel, with some braze welds in the more rear (aft) portion. It looked like a patch job. Those outer rockers should come off and new inner rockers welded in place before installing the outers. That's all.

It is good to see another 68S being saved. Thanks.

No worries. If it doesnt sell on ebay I'm going to see the job through.

The areas were cut away, I had supplied an outer and an inner panel ready for the job, but I didnt give them the go ahead because of my move.

I'm already pencil booked to get the remaining welding done in 5 weeks time and I think Ive found a good paint man
