    Beyond Nikasil: Beryllium-ceramic cylinder coatings

    I saw this little snippet in a recent Excellence and now I am curious about the technology and process. Does anyone know more?

    There is a company in Switzerland that does that process. It's used more and more for vintage race engines of which the cylinders are part of the engine block (as opposed to the loose cylinders in a Porsche).
