    Value of gas heater

I have a 71 T that a factory gas heater in it, I'm curious how rare these are and what they are worth.
    Thanks,
    Phil

They are a curiosity and most folks chose to remove the fuse to them. They can cause problems if not working properly and trust me, you DO want it working properly.

I think they're cool to have, but impractical to use. Don't get rid of it.

It's my impression that the units and all that comes w/ it are not rare but the muffler and long pipe are ..

I just bought two, complete with pumps dash switches etc. and a NOS muffler for $200 off of craigslist. No one was banging the sellers door down.

Yeah, Tom, me too. Then I could run headers and not be cold.

They are really common in the SWB cars, Less so in the LWB. The invoice for my '67 doesn't mention one as an option, though it is obviously original equipment. My '70 has one, the window sticker lists it as a $230. option.
