    It sure looks better than the repro's I've seen. Most factory parts were in primer green or black.

    On the real bad repro's the top indent seam, about 1.5" down from the top is at an angle drooping about 1/2" from side to side. With the openings for the bumber support 1/2" high on the right.

    This one looks square and level, very good.

    Stoddards sells aluminum repros for $90 (in stock). An original goes for $285, but they don't spec whether it is steel or not (my guess is it is); either way, they don't have them in stock... No idea what the difference between OEM and repro is or how to identify.

    Seems like some fair coin for a piece of metal that can't be verified as original equipment though. I found mine for $10 at the parts swap a few weeks back (rough condition, already trimmed to fit a muffler), stripped it of paint and bondo, notched it for the pipes, and put it on. I don't think I'll paint it.
