    WTB - Rear Control Arms

My mechanic informs me that the LR control arm on my '72 T is bent, and should be replaced. He says they are no longer available new, and recommends finding used.

Anyone have one (or both sides) for sale?
    Cheers!

I think I saw a pair on Pelican.

You should not have any trouble finding good used ones.

The ones on Pelican even had new bearings.

original steel ones will be a snap to find, i would think. you may want to consider going for a set of ALUminum ones from an SC. i think they're a direct bolt up, but others 'round these parts or over @ Pelican would know for sure.
    good luck.

    Bob,

Thanks for the tip regarding Pelican.

By the way, my T spent a good number of years in Vancouver before coming East. I'm trying to contact one of its reported previous owners; a gentleman by the name of Arthur Conner. Ever heard of him?

And Jerry, thanks for the suggestion about converting to later aluminum arms. I agree that they might be a better option for me as I'm not concerned with concourse correctness. Would they bolt right into my '72?
    Cheers!

Yes the later aluminum will bolt up. That's what I did on my 73'. Consequently I have a perfect set of 73' steel arms in excellent shape with a good set of bearings and they also have the ball joint for the rear sway bar. I'll sell them cheap if you want them.

If you decide to go with a set of the aluminum try to find an early set with the ball joint if you've got the factory swaybar otherwise you'll have to modify your setup.

    Let me know.

I've always considered the glass to be half full...that is until I reached middle age and realized that it is actually half empty.

Found (via Pelican) and bought a nice pair of aluminum arms off of an '88 911...including the emergency brake hardware.

Thanks to all for your help and advice!
    Cheers!
