Alright found paint charts. I just bought a 73 1/2 the paint codes didn't match up to anything in Johnsons book. I think it was a herbert paint code, seems as though those codes are not available, I had the same problem with a 69 S that never did get resolved.

Go here, http://www.early911s.com Click 911 Gallery, then sort by color.
There are a couple of Blue metallic cars and a couple of Gemini Blue and a couple of Gemini Blue Metallic. Click the photo of the car to enlarge it.
You might also try http://paintscratch.com and see what you come up with there as well.

Relative to Metalic Blue, Gemini Blue is less saturated (more gray) and is just a little to the red side (slightly purple). So, Metalic Blue is a more straight forward color, and Gemini more complex.

Here's a pretty good comparison...
These are of Lars' beautiful '72 hot rod in 'Gemini', and mine in 'Blue Metallic'
They were shot in the same place in the same light...
Hope this helps,

I'll post some pics of car and paint code later this week. You guys can tell me what I bought, both are beautiful colors.

Hi there, I've just registered on here but have been on Pelican & DDK for a while. The original colour of my car was Gemini Blue but I wanted to see Blue Metallic before I want ahead with a respray after my full restoration.
I found there were two distinct shades of Blue Metallic around. After I dug a bit deeper I came to the conclusion that the Glasurit code in circulation is wrong so resprayed cars were different from cars with the original paint.
Original colours here: http://members.rennlist.com/tweedt/glasurit.htm
How come i did not see colors for 67, i need toknow the code for a white 67.
