    Black 911's with Minilites??

I have been thinking of installing Minilites on Flairs n Chairs for sometime.

After seeing Frank Enea's car at The Quail this past weekend, (BEAUTIFUL car BTW) I really do want to see how it would look.

I want to remove the 8" Fuchs and install 8" Minilites, keeping the same tires 225/50/15. I will keep the 7" Fuchs on the front.

Anyone have photos of black 911's, Minilites in the rear, Fuchs up front?
Anyone in So. Cal who does have 8" Minilites willing to let me put them on my car to see how it would look, BEFORE I go out and purchase them?

    Any leads appreciated

    Ray,

I don't have a picture for you (sorry) but this post made me think of something I came across while researching these wheels for my car.

If they are "real" Minilites - as opposed to custom-fabbed 3pc dealies - then the backspacing will be different than your 8" Fuchs.

Follow this link - http://www.minilitewheels.com/offset_backspace.htm - and watch out for those fender lips and oil lines.

    Also try these links:

BTW, I think your car would look great with a pair of Minilites on the back ... go against the grain, Baby!

Off topic, sorry! Hey OliveR off hand do you know if that St replica is painted in the Signal Yellow or the Signal Orange. Trying to pick out a color for the new car. Original is not an issue with this project. Have not nailed it down yet.

Marco, Thanks for the heads up regarding the backspace. I currently have 8" Fuchs, 225/50/15 tires, under the SC Flares. One more additonal reason for a trial fitting. Do you think I will have any problems?
OliveR, THAT is the look I am going after.

Thorsten, This is all your fault Ever since I saw your model 911, the one you made, I have wanted to do this. Seeing Frank E's car was the true nudge factor in doing it.

The info on the site says that the 15" X 8" wheel has a 4" -4 1/2" backspacing.

I have to check my notes but I think you might need a to run a 1/4" spacer to clear the oil line bracket mounting stud.
